1960's
The beginning of Professor Tołpa studies on the properties of peat
1989
Torf Corporation was established in 1989 as a small pharmaceutical company. Immuno complex was the first product – an innovative drug for stimulating immune system based on peat extract.
1994
The company entered the cosmetic business and launched toothpastes and health and beauty products.
1999
Introducing first private label products on Polish market in cooperation with the biggest retailers: Tesco, Metro Group, Jeronimo Martins.
2015
No. 1 private label toothpaste manufacturer in CEE and significant supplier of health and beauty products. 2.5 million products produced every month.
 

professor Stanisław Tołpa

(1901–1996)
Polish botanist, scientist
and researcher.

Great educator with passion and knowledge. Students adored him. He was teaching them how to persistently strive for their goals and never give up. In May 1945, on a camel bought from the soldiers, he entered the ruined Wroclaw.

Thanks to his extraordinary determination, after years of research he obtained the peloid extract. This extract is now the basic component of tołpa® cosmetics that strengthens immunity, accelerates body’s healing process and improves skin condition.

We still continue his passion.

peat – peloid, a natural organic-mineral material formed as a result of geological processes involving water and microorganisms.

peat tołpa:® the main component of tołpa® cosmetics, strengthening immunity, boosting regeneration and improving condition of the skin. It is a rich source of ingredients improving skin functioning. peat tołpa:® a whole host of organic compounds, such as fulvic acids, phenolic acids, amino acids, sugars or peptides, to regenerate, strengthen, protect and nourish. A good source of minerals. Contains a number of macro- and microelements. An excellent antioxidant – a weapon against free radicals. Supports the immune system, protecting the skin against external and internal influences.

therapeutic mud tołpa®

Therapeutic mud is a type of peat. It is considered a distant relative of salty mud from the Dead Sea and the volcanic mud from Iceland. Its cosmetic properties were already appreciated by Cleopatra and its therapeutic properties were well known to the ancient Greeks.

therapeutic mud tołpa®: a form of natural biological regeneration. Reduces discomfort resulting from overexertion, fatigue and stress, supports the regeneration of the epidermis, detoxifies, fights free radicals and nourishes the skin. Effective in supporting the treatment of degenerative changes in the joints, post-traumatic conditions as well as overuse and pain syndromes, accelerates biological regeneration.

On the one hand, humic acids, present in the extract, have anti-inflammatory and bacteriostatic properties and on the other hand, they have an excellent effect on the skin, for example by preventing the loss of skin elasticity and ensuring good hydration. They remove toxins, cleansing the skin and increasing the absorption of other active ingredients. Therapeutic mud tołpa® has also been proven to have anti-cellulite, slimming, firming, toning, regenerating, protective and moisturising effects.
